The North West Provincial Government has taken proactive measures to position itself as an attractive investment destination. Abundant Mineral and Natural Resources

The North West Province boasts significant mineral wealth, including 70% of the world’s platinum reserves, over three thousand active mines, and numerous investment opportunities in mining exploration, processing, and equipment provision. Additionally, the province is a key contributor to South Africa’s agricultural exports, being the top producer of beetroot, the second-largest producer of sunflower and carrots, and a major exporter of maize.

Thriving Sectors

The province’s agriculture and tourism sectors are significant economic drivers. There are investment opportunities in [resort development at Lindleyspoort Dam](https://capetown.today/intelligence-operations-prevent-business-robbery-and-kidnapping-in-bellville), hotel and conferencing facilities at Bloemhof Dam Reserve, and the Sun City Theme Park. The provincial government is in talks with various business entities to revamp the province’s two airports, improving the movement of goods across the region and the continent.
