On a Saturday afternoon, a vigilant bystander named Brandon played a crucial role in a daring rescue that took place off the harbour wall at Kalk Bay, Cape Town. Brandon, who was nearby, bravely entered the water with an NSRI Pink Rescue Buoy to lend aid. The NSRI Simon’s Town crew launched the NSRI rescue vessel Donna Nicholas and activated various rescue organizations, including Cape Medical Response (CMR) and the City of Cape Town’s water rescue network.
Brandon’s Heroic Actions
When the rescue team arrived on the scene, they found that Brandon had already employed the NSRI pink rescue buoy to help the two men. The casualty was then successfully transported to shore, where CMR paramedics provided medical attention. Although his condition was serious, the injured man was reported as stable and is currently on the road to recovery.
