The Decadent Affair

South Africa’s Franschhoek Valley is abuzz with anticipation for the annual Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival. This opulent event, a highlight of the year, is all set to enthral guests this coming weekend. Sponsored by Sanlam Private Wealth, the festival is an elegant amalgamation of indulgence in its most exquisite forms. The historic Franschhoek Huguenot Monument provides a majestic backdrop for two days of lavishness. A flute and ten tasting tokens, included with every ticket, allow enthusiasts to sample all the Cap Classiques on display as well as a selection of champagnes.

More Than Just Bubbles

However, the festival extends beyond a mere appreciation of fine sparkling wines. It also encompasses a variety of live music performances that promise to be show stealers. Among these, the high-profile acoustic rock group Watershed, hailing from South Africa, will be performing on the inaugural day. Additionally, DJ Charles Lusengo from Johannesburg will be livening up the atmosphere with a vibrant blend of Latino, house, and beach club beats.

Leigh-Anne Williams, a renowned local radio personality, will serve as the energetic MC for the event. Her vibrant persona guarantees an additional touch of excitement to the festival. Renowned for its laid-back garden-party vibe, the event consistently provides an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

The Fashionable Franschhoek

In a unique twist, festival-goers are urged to adhere to a specific dress code. The combination of classic white and blue with a dash of silver is the suggested attire, adding a distinctive Franschhoek vibe to the event. The gathering is not solely about sipping the finest champagnes and enjoying music, but also about flaunting fashion prowess. There are attractive prizes up for grabs for the best-dressed guests. So, it’s time to refurbish your stylish wardrobe and join in the fashionable fun.

Exclusive Experiences and Collaboration

Sanlam Private Wealth’s CEO, Theesan Moodley, expressed his joy at participating in this spectacular event. He believes the festival offers an ideal platform to curate an exclusive experience for their guests and fosters collaboration with fellow craftsmen in their respective fields. The same dedication to excellence underpinning the production of top-notch bubbly, scrumptious food, and live music also drives Sanlam Private Wealth’s efforts to nurture and safeguard wealth. Every facet of the festival reflects qualities like patience, meticulous attention to detail, and a readiness to take calculated risks.

Additional Information

While the tasting tokens allow guests to sample an assortment of champagnes, an extensive range of champagnes will also be available for purchase, either by the glass or bottle. However, consistent with South African law, individuals under 18 years of age are not permitted entry into the festival.

The festival will kick off at 11 am on both Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3. The party will continue until 5 pm on the opening day, while it will wrap up an hour earlier, at 4 pm, on Sunday. The venue is the Huguenot Memorial Monument, located at 13 Lambrechts Road, Franschhoek.

For those intending to explore Cape Town and its surrounding areas during the period of the festival, there are fabulous deals on car rentals costing less than R100,000. The specifics of these deals can be found on several car listing platforms.

An Unforgettable Experience

Whether you’re a champagne aficionado, a music enthusiast, or a fashion devotee, the Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival is an event that you simply cannot afford to miss. It promises a memorable combination of luxury, culture, and sophistication, all set against the scenic backdrop of the beautiful Franschhoek Valley.
