The Limpopo Department of Employment and Labour has launched a four-day registration drive from July 10th to 13th, 2023, aimed at providing free services to job seekers in Sekhukhune district. This initiative will empower individuals and enhance the workforce through the Public Employment Services (PES) unit, which will educate job seekers on the ESSA database and provide career counseling services.

The ESSA Database and Services

The ESSA database offers an innovative system for matching job seekers with suitable opportunities, streamlining the process for both employers and job seekers. To maximize the benefits of this platform, the departmental officials will guide and educate the participants on system interaction, winning curriculum vitae (CV) preparation, job interview strategies, and enhancing employability. Therefore, the campaign will offer career counseling services for those seeking their ideal professional path.

UIF Applications and Claims

The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) will provide resources to assist community members with UIF applications, claims assessment, payment processing, and resolving inquiries. Clients should bring their ID or passport, a completed UI-19 form, a UI 2.8 form, and a salary schedule to access these services.

Accessible Locations

The work seeker registration drive will reach multiple locations in the region, which includes community halls, tribal authority venues, schools, and clinics. The varied locations demonstrate an understanding of the unique needs and contexts facing different members of the community.
