Gonana Guesthouse: A Sustainable and Luxurious Beach Getaway

Gonana Guesthouse, owned by Swedish interior designer and entrepreneur Jonas Sandström, is a sustainable and luxurious beach getaway that offers a unique experience for eco-conscious travelers. Located on the periphery of a picturesque West Coast beach in Paternoster, South Africa, the Gonana Collection is the first sustainable living and eco-friendly guesthouse in the area, proudly celebrating 1,000 days of business with a fantastic special.

Self-Sufficient and Solar-Powered

Solar-powered and self-sufficient, Gonana is unaffected by loadshedding and encourages its visitors to reduce their carbon imprint. The property has eight guest rooms with en suite bathrooms, seven with private terraces or balconies, and one apartment that can function as either a self-catering unit or a bed and breakfast. The gardens are indigenous and water-efficient, and the furnishings are natural and sourced locally. Gonana adheres to the “buying local, thinking global” philosophy, which stresses the importance of supporting local businesses and preserving the environment.

Accommodations

Aside from the guesthouse, the Gonana Collection offers two fully furnished, pet-friendly, self-catering houses, the Aloe House and the Acacia House, which won the 2022 Afristay Pet-Friendly Destination award. It also includes three self-catering, separate Scallop, Oyster, and Mussel Studios, and the exclusive three-roomed Coral Villa. All of these accommodations are solar-powered and unaffected by loadshedding.

Special Offer

The “Pay 2, Stay 3” Winter Warmer Special is available for bookings between 1 June and 31 August 2023. This promotion is subject to terms and conditions, as well as availability.

The eco-consciousness of Gonana Collection extends beyond its facilities. It is a proudly LGBTQ-welcoming and all-inclusive space for all nature lovers and eco-conscious individuals.

Reconnecting People with Nature

Jonas Sandstrom’s next logical step was to establish a sustainable guesthouse and self-catering cottages in Paternoster. The sustainable Afro-Scandinavian space of the Gonana Collection seeks to reconnect people with nature, themselves, and one another. Two hours from Cape Town, the location offers untainted white sand beaches, charming restaurants, and flourishing nature.

Ideal Destination for Eco-Conscious Travelers

Gonana Guesthouse is the ideal location for a luxurious and eco-friendly vacation. It is an ideal destination for eco-conscious tourists due to its breathtaking vistas, friendly people, and natural environs. If you want to experience the grandeur of Paternoster while being environmentally conscious, arrange your stay at Gonana Guesthouse as soon as possible.
