Lebo M Confirms Divorce

Lebo M, the Grammy award-winning composer of The Lion King, released a brief statement on Tuesday, 1 August, announcing the end of their marriage. The 59-year-old musician did not disclose the reasons behind this decision, but confirmed that he would indeed be sending his wife a summons for divorce.

“I will not be drawn into salacious allegations and innuendos about my business and personal life. I will be going ahead with the divorce and have already instructed my attorneys,” Lebo M was quoted as saying.

Their Relationship History

The couple, who married in February 2022, met through a mutual friend. Samuels holds the position of president of the Lebo M Foundation. Earlier this year, they celebrated their first anniversary as husband and wife, sharing heartfelt messages on Instagram.

Lebo M expressed his gratitude, writing, “It’s our first anniversary as husband and wife. Thank you, Pretty Samuels. I have no words. How blessed am I, beyond measure and anyone under the sun’s imagination. I love you.” Pretty reciprocated the affection, saying, “Happy anniversary my friend first, my love, lover, boss, employee, sibling, my knight in all armours. I love you.”

A Complex Picture of a Marriage in Turmoil

The sudden announcement of their divorce, coupled with Pretty Samuels’ apparent lack of knowledge about the situation, raises questions about the current state of their relationship. The contrasting images of a loving couple celebrating their anniversary and a husband filing for divorce without informing his wife paint a complex picture of a marriage in turmoil.

The Future of Their Relationship

As the story unfolds, it remains unclear whether the couple will be able to resolve their issues or if divorce is indeed the only option. What’s certain is that the music world and fans of Lebo M are watching closely, waiting to see how the saga of their marriage plays out.
