The Employment Equity amendments aim to reduce the regulatory burden on small employers, empower the Minister to regulate sector-specific numerical targets, promulgate Section 53, and strengthen compliance by issuing EE compliance certificates. The primary theme of the outreach program is “Real transformation makes business sense.”

Empowering South Africans

The outreach program is part of the government’s dedication to addressing employment equity issues and promoting real transformation in the business sector. By engaging with communities and offering valuable services, the Minister is taking a hands-on approach to foster understanding and support for the amended Employment Equity Act.

The outreach program also provides an opportunity for residents in the Northern Area of Gqeberha to access vital services and resources that can significantly impact their lives. The Department’s commitment to empowering South Africans in their quest for employment and fair working conditions is demonstrated by bringing these services directly to the communities. The national workshops and on-the-spot services provide a platform for dialogue, education, and support, which are essential for building an equitable, inclusive workforce in South Africa.
