orlando pirates squad strengthening

Orlando Pirates have continued to strengthen their squad with the addition of two new players ahead of the upcoming season. Goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi from TS Galaxy and midfielder Siphelo Beloni from All-Stars have been signed to bolster the Pirates’ team.

Buthelezi and Beloni Join the Ranks

Buthelezi and Beloni’s signings demonstrate the team’s commitment to enhancing their squad depth. Buthelezi has a reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the previous season, while Beloni’s addition to the midfield will improve creativity in the middle of the pitch.

Ofori Signs Contract Extension

Additionally, the team has agreed with Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori to extend his contract for another three years. This move signals the team’s faith in Ofori’s talent, who has been pivotal for the Pirates. The new agreement will make Ofori one of the highest-paid players in the league.

Goalkeeping Options Abound

With Ofori’s extension and Buthelezi’s arrival, the Pirates’ goalkeeping department will have plenty of options. Sipho Chaine, who impressed coach Jose Riveiro in Ofori’s absence, will also be part of the team. It remains to be seen how Riveiro will manage the abundance of talent between the posts. Still, the Pirates will compete on five fronts, providing ample opportunities for all goalkeepers.

Exciting Future Ahead

With the signings of Buthelezi and Beloni, along with Ofori’s contract extension, the Pirates are building a solid and deep squad capable of competing at the highest level in multiple competitions. The team’s management has clearly intended to create a formidable force in their quest for silverware.

Potential for Further Signings

The Pirates are also reportedly interested in signing an undisclosed midfielder from Venda FA. Should they secure this player’s signature, it would further enhance their already impressive roster.

A Promising Season Ahead

With an excellent blend of experience, youth, and raw talent, the Orlando Pirates are poised to make waves in the football world and bring home some much-deserved silverware. The team’s ambition and commitment to building a solid squad under Riveiro’s leadership make this season exciting for the Pirates and their fans.
