Cape Town is gearing up for a unique musical festival this month, showcasing the transformative power of opera and classical music. As part of the ‘Opera in Your Neighbourhood’ community concerts initiative, the ‘Opera Blocks’ interactive play sessions for parents and children up to the age of five will foster cognitive and physical development. The initiative is a joint venture by the city, the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Cape Town Opera, aiming to bring the allure and sophistication of opera to local doorsteps and unite the city in a shared love for music.
