The North West Department of Public Works and Roads has announced that they will be hosting a twoday Provincial Summit on the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) on June 22 and 23, 2023. The goal of this gathering, which will take place a few months before the start of Phase 5 of the Programme, is to encourage collaborations and partnerships for successful implementation.
Youth Month Brings Hope to Mmametlhake’s Schools Mmametlhake, a small town in South Africa’s Mpumalanga province, is looking forward to a brighter future for their youth and schools. Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment, Ms. Makhotso Sotyu, is providing hope in the form of essential school supplies. As part of the department’s Youth Month activities, Sotyu will donate stationery, school desks, school shoes, solar lights, and water tanks to various schools in Mmametlhake on June 13, 2023.
South African musician and media personality, Sbusiso “DJ Sbu” Leope, has expressed his interest in working at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) again, but only under acceptable conditions. Sbu was dismissed from SABC’s Metro FM in 2015, following his promotion of his MoFaya energy drink at the Metro FM Awards. This led to his eventual departure after a public outcry.
