On June 15, 2023, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Lisa Mangcu, will commemorate International Level Crossing Day (ILCAD) in Ulco, Northern Cape. The event is a joint effort between the Railway Safety Regulator (RSR), Traxtion, and AfriSam and aims to raise awareness about level crossing safety. ILCAD is an annual event led by the International Union of Railways (UIC), supported by railway communities across 28 countries worldwide.
