The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) in Gauteng investigated a case of kidnapping and rape involving two police constables attached to the Springs police station in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng. The incident occurred on August 21, 2016, when the constables took a 43yearold female complainant with them to the police station while attending to a disturbance complaint.
