German footballer Timo Werner has joined Tottenham on a temporary basis after leaving RB Leipzig midseason. Werner previously played for Chelsea and won the Champions League trophy, but his performance declined afterwards. He chose Tottenham due to a conversation with the manager, the team’s approach and manner of play, and the grandeur of the stadium. Despite a slightly off season, Werner will have a chance to redefine his career as soon as Sunday when Tottenham competes against Manchester United.
Lloyd Harris, the only South African tennis player in the men’s singles draw at Wimbledon this year, had a challenging first round. Despite his valiant efforts, the Frenchman Gregoire Barrere defeated him in a gripping 3hour match, leaving Harris with a sense of missed opportunities.
