Athule Mazane, a 14yearold student from Cape Town, South Africa, has become a wellknown presenter on National Geographic’s panAfrican children’s conservation program, Team Sayari. The show, a collaboration between Disney, National Geographic, and the U.S. government via USAID, aims to inspire the next generation of environmental conservation leaders by sharing valuable lessons about the world and how to care for it.
On May 13th, the Deputy Minister of Social Development, Mme Hendrietta BogopaneZulu, in collaboration with USAID, will launch ChommY. This pioneering program aims to empower children aged between 10 and 14 years from Ekurhuleni hostels. The initiative will be launched at the Vosloorus Civic Centre under the theme “Invest in my Future…Protect me Today.”
