The Growthpoint SA National Squash Championships has returned to Cape Town for the third year in a row. The tournament features eight elite male and female players battling for top honors on a breathtaking all-glass court at the V&A Waterfront.

A New Addition: Junior Squash Talent Showcase

This year, a parallel event has been added to the tournament to highlight the nation’s burgeoning junior squash talent. From August 17 to August 20, players in the U15, U17, and U19 age categories will compete for recognition and accolades.

Reigning Champions and Top Seeds

Dewald van Niekerk, the reigning senior men’s champion, is aiming for a hat-trick of Growthpoint squash titles. On the women’s side, Hayley Ward from Eastern Province is the top seed. She is joined by Alexa Pienaar and two-time former champion Milnay Louw (2017 and 2019) in their quest to claim this year’s coveted title.

Alderman JP Smith, City’s mayoral committee member for safety and security, warmly welcomes the championship’s return and highlights the excitement and extraordinary talent on display at one of Cape Town’s most iconic locations.
