On July 28, 2023, the City of Cape Town embarked on an exciting journey to inspire and educate the next generation of urban planners, architects, and designers. The Urban Planning and Design Expo kicked off, featuring a career day for high schoolers from a variety of institutions. This initiative provided a platform for students to explore urban planning and design, as well as bursary, internship, and job-shadowing opportunities that the City offers.

The Expo

The exhibition ran until August 2, showcasing the City’s multiple projects and planning initiatives aimed at accommodating future population growth and sustainable development. The event successfully attracted ambitious high schoolers, eager to meet professionals and learn about various career opportunities in the sector.
