In preparation for the departure of influential captain Steven Kitshoff, the Stormers have signed two loosehead props to fill the void. Lizo Gqoboka and Sti Sithole have been brought in to strengthen the team’s front row options as they move into the post-Kitshoff era.

Gqoboka set to join Stormers from the Bulls

Lizo Gqoboka, a long-time member of the Bulls, will be leaving the Pretoria-based side to join the Stormers. The team has been interested in the Springbok prop for a year and were willing to negotiate a transfer fee to secure his services, despite him still having a year left on his contract with the Bulls.

Stormers re-sign Sithole to further bolster front row

In addition to signing Gqoboka, the Stormers have also re-signed Lions prop Sti Sithole. Both Gqoboka and Sithole will be tasked with filling the enormous boots left by Kitshoff, who led the team to two URC finals and lifted the trophy during its inaugural campaign last year.
