South African media personality and style icon, Bonang Matheba, also known as Queen B, is set to host and sponsor the Miss South Africa pageant on Sunday, August 13th. Matheba has maintained a long-standing connection with the pageant, having been part of the judging panel in 2014, and hosting the event during its 60th anniversary in 2018 and 2019 when Zozibini Tunzi became Miss Universe.

This year, Matheba’s involvement goes beyond hosting duties as she has also participated as a judge on the Miss South Africa television series Crown Chasers, broadcast over five weeks on SABC 3.
