The MAC Charter Council is organizing a Women’s Day event to honor and celebrate the contributions of women in the Marketing, Advertising, and Communication (MAC) sector. MAC Charter Council’s Role

The MAC Charter Council, launched on March 25, 2022, is responsible for monitoring the transformation of the sector by facilitating the implementation of the B-BBEE sector code. The council comprises representatives from government, regulators, the MAC sector, women, youth, and organized labor, who are tasked with measuring the transformation progress made by the MAC industry.

Providing Guidance

The MAC Charter Council is also responsible for providing guidance to the MAC sector on matters related to empowerment and B-BBEE to achieve transformation, including the implementation of preferential procurement specifically empowering 30% black women-owned businesses in the MAC sector.
