The database is a source of information that offers training and development opportunities for the next year. Unemployed graduates residing in Cape Town are encouraged to register as soon as possible to increase their chances of being considered for the available opportunities.

Importance of the Internship Database

Several municipal departments within the city identify operational needs throughout the year. By maintaining a robust database of qualified graduates, the City can quickly connect potential candidates with the available opportunities when applications open.

Register for the Internship Database

Alderman Theresa Uys, the City’s MMC for corporate services, urges young graduates and those with a National Senior Certificate to register their details on the internship database. Doing so increases the likelihood of discovering opportunities that suit their qualifications.

To register on the internship database, applicants must follow a few simple steps:

  2. Create an online CV, including personal details, education, training, references, and required documents (ID, cover letter, and relevant qualifications such as matric certificate, diploma, or degree).
