The upcoming campaign in Brazil follows the astounding success of similar initiatives in the US and European markets, which significantly boosted tourism numbers in Cape Town. The campaign achieved millions of impressions on social media platforms and exceeded target reach by impressive margins in both markets.

Success of Promotional Efforts

Thanks to these promotional efforts, Cape Town witnessed a remarkable recovery in inbound travel from key source markets between January and April 2023. The number of air passengers from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and the USA increased significantly compared to the same period in 2019. By expanding this successful marketing strategy to Brazil, Alderman Vos hopes to inspire similar positive sentiment and boost bookings from the South American nation.
