Lanzerac Manor Kitchen

Nestled in the heart of the Jonkershoek Valley, the Lanzerac Wine Estate boasts endless vineyards, dramatic mountain views, and expansive gardens shaded by oak trees. It is rich heritage and old-world elegance date back to 1692, making it a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates wine, history, and nature.

The Manor Kitchen

Inside the Governor’s Hall, you will find the estate’s flagship restaurant, the Manor Kitchen, a spacious and open dining space with lofty ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, large lead-glass windows, and a general sense of grandeur. The restaurant offers a “classics reimagined” menu, designed by Chef Stephen Fraser, which uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and bold local flavors.

The Manor Kitchen is the perfect place to indulge in a fine-dining experience, where you can savor dishes such as large Saldanha oysters with yuzu caviar, fynbos vinaigrette, and salt-cured cucumber, honey-rooibos-seared tuna with pickled tomato, avo, and ponzu dressing, or venison loin with pinotage jus.

But the highlight of the dining experience is the wine list, one of the best in the region, which covers every desire, from Champagne, cap classique, prosecco, and cava to the estate’s award-winning pinotage, and every other varietal in between (with a few international gems, too).

The Manor Kitchen has a sommelier-led service, where sommelier Fundi Ziqubu shares valuable wine expertise and insight to ensure meals hit all the right notes. Guests can expect proper food pairing and good advice on different wines and how they add to the dining experience.
